I was given a 2-hour slot the day before, so much better than many services offer. I then had a phone call from James just over an hour before the slot to ask if he could come early, due to a COVID cancellation. I accepted and he was here within the half hour mentioned on the phone. As usual, the service was efficient, clean, polite and friendly. I am always happy to use Ablewight.

We're very happy with the service we receive from Ablewight. Yesterday the sweep phoned to remind us he was 20 minutes away, arrived and got to work - job done efficiently, gave us a helpful answer to a query we had, and left us with a clean chimney (and surrounds) and with our minor concern re safety settled. . I’ve just moved into my new home and have never had a fire or wood burner before so had zero clue about what to do with it! James was really professional and clearly knew his stuff. He cleaned and checked both my fireplaces and wood burner and gave me some good advice in terms of logs and when to use the wood burner etc. There was no mess left and he was super polite. He even took down my annoying fire alarm which was beeping! A shout out to Lisa as well who was so lovely and helpful when I called up to book this in.

We were lucky to get an appointment within two weeks of my phone call and we’re given an approximate time of day. This was narrowed down to a two hour slot the day before.
James phoned ahead as promised and arrived on time. The company takes strict precautions against Coronavirus, which was comforting at this sensitive time.
Now we can light our fire and our stove again with confidence and we have certificates for our insurance company.

Have used Ablewight for several years from a thatched cottage to most recently when a virctorian townhouse in Cambridge. Always professional, great communication and service - it’s an important annual task at a fair price. We are quite exacting and cannot fault them. James in particular is a thoroughly nice chap. Highly recommended.
