We asked Chris to design a garden for us as we had just moved into a recently built house with a grassed over site that hadn’t been levelled at all. There was a huge step down from the doors and two sets of bifolds. We had downsized to a quarter acre garden for our seventies (we had half an acre for our sixties when living in Scotland and a full acre in Essex before that). The awkward shaped plot was wide, stretched round three sides of the house, overlooked by a large, unfinished house on one side and is mostly east facing. Chris designed a very unusual walled garden space for us - a former barnyard - to specific requirements: a restrained colour palette, seasonal evolution, movement, and a distinctive design. It's been a huge success, and three years on has developed beautifully.
His knowledge of horticulture is formidable, and his eye is flawless, and he's respectful and attentive to preferences expressed. It's been a great collaboration.

Chris designed my beautiful garden which is admired by all. From start to finish he was a delight to work with. From the outset he listened to what I wanted from my garden in terms of features, maintenance and how I wanted to use the space. He didn't even laugh when I said my dream was to have stepping stones across a pond. Chris took the time to create several different designs at varying construction costs. The one I chose was perfect...and I have my stepping stones! My garden is now a calm sanctuary, easy to look after and a place I will love for years to come. I could not recommend Chris more
