SweepSmart was formed in 2013 after founder Paul Solicari left his role as restaurant manager of his family's business in Soho. Paul's brother-in-law, a Suffolk based chimney sweep, had a bad fall from a roof he was working on and Paul volunteered to help out; a move that would set the wheels in motion for SweepSmart.
A chimney leakage test (also known as a chimney Smoke Test 1) is used to check that the flue will be safe and not leak potentially dangerous gasses into rooms above or an adjacent property. It can be extremely difficult to diagnose a chimney problem. In the past, you would have had to knock a hole into the chimney, work with a very messy, limited point of access and no guarantee of finding the cause.

Excellent company. They reinstated our chimney a couple of years back and installed a new stove for us. Completely professional, clean and tidy service. They recently came and swept the chimney for us and still as professional, clean and tidy as before. Covid-19 secure and keep you updated with how the job will be carried out along with their time of arrival etc. Can’t recommend them enough and will continue to use them.
Update 2021 - Used Paul again to sweep our chimney again and once again faultless. We left it somewhat late to try and book and obviously with the temperatures starting to drop

SweepSmart are a top notch company. Paul is a knowledgeable guy, easy to get on with, thorough, and good at what he does. They use good tech for the job, they kept the place clean, and as a company they communicate well (a massive bonus given the past 3 months I've had chasing up builders). Just had our first stove check & chimney sweep with Paul & I couldn't be happier with the service. A change to his schedule meant an earlier appointment for me which actually suited very well. With no disrespect to our previous, lovely sweep - I think our little stove has never been so well cared for. Paul even fixed the rope seal without being asked to. Fab service would definitely recommend using SweepSmart. Regular communication reminders re: my appointment via text with final text letting me know Paul was on his way. SweepSmart provided a document on being Covid secure before/during/after Paul's site visit so felt completely safe.
We needed to replace both fire bricks within our multi-fuel stove but couldn't find the make and model number to order replacements online. I approached 5 different companies and they all said it wasn't possible.
SweepSmart was the only one willing and able to create/cut new bricks for us - thank you we can now

Very professional service, we will definitely use SweepSmart again and would highly recommend. We were given a 2hr arrival window but we received a message once our chimney sweep was on their way and we could track their progress. Our chimney sweep followed strict COVID procedures and the whole appointment felt safe and professional. We received confirmation of payment and our certificate by email almost instantly.
