Mark Piper Furniture - Specialist in designing and making fine bespoke furniture both free standing and fitted, whether it is a finely crafted kitchen or a designed and handmade piece of furniture. Mark Piper started working for Herbert Reads of Exeter who were ecclesiastic restoration company established in 1888, they did work which was sent to many different countries in the world.
While there I gained my City and Guilds in cabinet making at Brunel Technical college in Bristol. After Herbert Reads I went to Rycotewood College in Oxfordshire to study fine craftsmanship and design. My aim is to produce furniture to the highest standard of quality.
Much of my commissions work is concerned with excellence in function, clarity of quality and purpose- structural invention and use of sustainable resource combined with working with the customer, understanding and interpreting their individual needs.Commissioned piece always mean working within a budget, but some things are made speculatively, simply because they are a good idea.
