Acoustic Architecture was born out of a desire to create highly functional and inspirationally beautiful spaces for performance, creative studios and academic institutions. Following much success in this field, we have branched out to deliver silent and sonically balanced spaces for clients in film, television and private residential spaces.
Real sound is at the heart of our approach, not just ratings and Building Bulletin 93 (BB93). Spaces are modelled and the real sound of a string quartet, drum kit, keynote presenter or even full orchestra is listened to and understood in the context of the desired space.
Drawing on decades of experience in live and production music mixing and mastering, this sound is then crafted to bring out every nuance and transient with stunning clarity in the design of the room(s).The sound guides a clear path for choice of materials. Acoustic Architecture is directed by Alec Boulton and Jeff Smith who, with their breadth of skills, deliver excellent balance of form and function on every project.
