DOFF is a steam-based stone cleaning system. It's unlike any other steam system and can achieve temperatures of up to 150°C at the nozzle end - making it a 'super-heated water system'. The operator is able to vary the temperature and pressure to remove many different types of paint and biological matter.
There are number of different types of bricks and each one requires different cleaning techniques. Clay brick types, such as engineering bricks, are extremely strong and they do not absorb water. The common brick, on the other hand, is soft and absorbs water perfectly - something to consider when choosing the type of equipment for brick cleaning.

We used PC Coms to clean the front of our 1930s art deco flat block in Hove. Alex and the team couldn't have been lovelier; so polite and worked to such a high standard. Alex even filmed their work as they went along, which was so helpful in terms of keeping all the various flats aware of the work and their progress.
They were a dream and we're thrilled with the results, the flats look a million times better and it's something we'll be looking to do on a much more regular basis.

Excellent service with minimum disturbance. Without scaffolding, only access to gutters is by long boom 3 1/2 stories up from basement level.. PC COM has handled this expertly three times with different contacts even at the end of lockdown.

Alex and his team worked hard to clear many years’ build-up of moss off the room of our new home and then applied softwash to help prevent regrowth - a better and safer process than power washing which some companies do. They also then cleared out and cleaned the gutters and windows. The finished effect is stunning and the envy of our new neighbourhood!
