Sheelagh Shaen-Carter is an award winning architect working predominately in Rutland and Leicestershire but currently has a number of projects in South-West London. Having qualified from Sheffield and Nottingham University with a degree in Architecture in [1980]. She initially worked for Nottingham City Council, where she quickly learnt about the planning system and how to design a successful applications.
She uses this experience to ensure the best possible outcome for her clients. In 1986, Sheelagh decided to follow her passion, setting up her own practice to focus on residential development and period conversions. She thrives on designing complicated restorations and sympathetic extensions.
Over the last 30 years, the practice has been extremely successful with numerous happy clients across the country and numerous design awards including Self Build Industry Awards Best Architectural Practice of the Year, Civic Trust Awards & Charnwood Design Awards.As a practical and collaborative architect, she prides herself on her ability to listen and turn her clients vision into a reality.
