Granite is a natural stone, formed over millions of years and known for its hard strength. In fact, the only thing harder than granite, are diamonds. Diamond tipped tools are used to cut the granite worktops surface. As a surface, it has been used for kitchen worktops for years and has many advantages: it is very difficult to scratch or damage, they are resistant to stains and tolerant of high temperatures.
Alternative man-made materials that City Stone use give as convincing and complimentary a style as the stone. Quartz or composite worktops are developed and manufactured from a mixture of quartz and mica. Once the surface has been set, a resin and colourant are added. There is a range of colours and visual textures that can be chosen.
