In 1976 the business became 'Limited' when David Sykes (Whitley Bridge) Ltd was established. The company continued to expand into other industrial sectors culminating in a position where commercial and industrial work dominates the annual turnover of the company.

We liaise with architects, consultants, construction contractors and the client, ensuring the highest standards of design, installation and maintenance for both new and refurbished projects.
David Sykes Electrical can provide a complete design, installation and project management package if required. We are skilled in the provision of CAD drawings for customer approval and for providing electrical solutions utilising supporting technical software. Our range of design software includes Hevacomp and AutoCAD supported by Luckins product and pricing data.
David Sykes Electrical offers a range of commercial and industrial electrical services, anything from full installations or extensions, to existing services or addition of new plant. We design and install lighting and power systems, sign lighting, roller doors and automated gates, showroom lighting, valet bays and electric vehicle charge points.
David Sykes Electrical employs hazardous area specialists with CompEX qualifications and considerable experience, who can work in hazardous areas such as chemical plants, petrol stations and paint stores. Electrical work that is carried out in areas where potentially explosive atmospheres may be present such as gases, vapours or combustible dusts, must be done in accordance with technical standards and strict NICEIC safety guidelines.
