Chloe Wood Garden Design
Chloe Wood Garden Design is a garden design practice based in Oxford, creating bespoke gardens in Oxfordshire and the surrounding area. We help clients with gardens of all sizes to realise the practical and beautiful solution they have been looking for.

Every garden has a problem to be solved: creating a stylish space to complement and enhance the home; a comfortable and welcoming oasis in which to entertain friends; an extra room to be used year-round; a play area for the children which doesn't dominate the rest of the garden; a low maintenance tableau offering beautiful views from the house; a plantsman's garden to challenge the enthusiast.

Chloe Wood Garden Design prides itself on creating the perfect solution for your individual requirements, adding value to your home and lifestyle.
Services
In 2001, with a degree in Art History and many years spent working in art galleries and museums in London, I decided on a change of career. Having long been a passionate gardener I re-trained in Garden Design at the English Gardening School, based at the Chelsea Physic Garden, obtaining the accolade of Top Student in 2002.
The brief was to transform this previously unuseable and unloved space and to make the most of the relatively small area, creating a garden for entertaining friends, whilst providing a beautiful view from the house. We designed a bespoke, built-in, curved bench from iroko to match the new cladding on the walls.
The brief was to transform this previously neglected garden with a dated 80's red brick terrace and central concrete path into a smart, bright and easy to maintain garden. The clients work from home in the garden office and wanted to be able to access this in all weathers and also at night. So a curving porcelain path and subtle lighting make this possible.
A new copper and glass extension to this 18th Century farmhouse left the courtyard garden needing to bridge the gap between modern extension and the rest of the garden, including a traditional stone boundary wall. The brief was to create a space that looked beautiful year-round since it would be the main view from the new kitchen.
The brief was to transform this long, narrow garden, which had been visually cut in half by an old overgrown shrub, making it feel much shorter than it's generous 40 metres. The clients wanted a sunny area to sit and eat as well as a private space outside the home office for a mid-morning coffee. The garden was designed as a series of 'rooms' with a curved, sinuous path linking all the areas.
