The core of Pethers business is Building & Restoration. We have a wealth of experience in a large range of building projects ranging from private buildings and extensions to ecclesiastical work, all of which we manage from start to finish with efficient project management and budget control. We aim to complete all projects undertaken to the highest possible standards of workmanship within the timescale of the contract agreed wherever possible.
We pride ourselves on continuing to use traditional roofing techniques handed down through generations aligned with modern insulation requirements wherever possible. As a company we undertake a wide range of roofing projects from Cotswold stone slating, conservation approved artificial tiling, traditional blue slating and Lead work.
As a local traditional Cotswold building company we have a great knowledge of the local materials and none is more important the stone of which the area is so well known for. We have the skills to work in all areas of stonemasonry from new ashlar stone and lime renders extensions to churches, windows on private houses, chimney and fireplace replacements.
Pethers offer a complete range of carpentry and joinery works. Our previous contracts have included many varied and interesting projects. We can provide a design team for bespoke kitchens who will see the project through to installation also giving advice on worktops and white goods etc. The same team also specializes in the design construction and fitment of fine oak staircases and traditional period windows and doors.
Where ever possible we do all of our own excavation of footings and driveways etc. We have skilled traditional tradesmen who undertake all sizes of wet and drystone walling to the highest of standards. As a firm we are happy to give advice on the laying of new drainage runs and water collection systems etc.
