The Joiners Shop was set up in 1983 mainly to produce faithfully reproduced box sash windows and its reputation quickly became established as joinery that provided its customer with aesthetically correct carpentry/joinery, handmade kitchens, orangeries/conservatories, doors and period windows of a very high standard combined with a personal service that is second to none.
In a marketplace that at that time seemed to be offering only shop bought solutions to the needs of period homeowners, fast became highly sort after, regularly finding the workshop booked up for months ahead. We built a thriving business on the basis that we would only use quality materials, pay close attention to period detail and employ skilled craftsmen.
We feel the secret of our success is a hands on approach to each individual project and liaising with customers directly. The list of work carried out by The Joiners Shop is long and very impressive ranging from work on the oldest house in Wiltshire, to work on a lighthouse conversion in Aberdeen which included triple glazed box sash windows.
