Wilson Roof Truss Ltd is a family owned company with over 35 years experience in the engineered timber market. We manufacture Roof Trusses including Attic Trusses and the Posi-Joist floor using the Mitek design system. Posi-Joist combines the lightness of timber with the strength of the Posi-Strut steel web to produce a floor and roof system allowing you to span far greater distances than would be possible with alternative timber products. The installation of services and utilities is far simpler and quicker with Posi-Joists, reducing both labour costs and build-up time on site.
Using Trussed Rafters will considerably reduce the installation time compared with traditional construction. The use of sustainable renewable timber provides a more environmentally sound method of construction unlike steel and concrete solutions. Trussed rafters adhere to strict quality controlled production and design techniques ensuring an accurate and stable product.
Wilson Roof Truss Ltd was the chosen supplier for the Ministry of Defence building in Halifax. Specialised roof frames incorporating the whole second floor walls were designed and manufactured in cooperation with Alan Wood Architects. Working together we achieved the most economical design possible but without comprise on the structural integrity of the building.
