I recently ordered a replacement drawer for a fridge/freezer. It was delivered in good order, swiftly and effectively. The part was intended for an apartment that my son was about to vacate and, when the drawer was delivered, we realised it was not the correct drawer. Around this time, my son was admitted for major surgery to a local hospital. I thought that the mistake was made at Ransom Spares but, with hindsight, it was a mistake made by my son, as this has been a particularly traumatic time. Ordered a bottle shelf for my fridge. The first three they sent me were are damaged from the inside of the shelf outwards. Nothing else in the box, so impossible to have happened in transit. The box and bubble wrap was all pristine. They said it had been damaged in transit. They said all the shelves had been checked when packed, although the shelves were sealed in crinkly plastic bags and was impossible to see the
damage until I tore open the bags. So how could the packers see it?

Delayed shipping! Part sent didn't fit model recommended! Kept shipping fee! Rude when return requested!
Ordered Gas Hob Ignition Switch. Charged me before informing me part was not in stock. 3 weeks later part sent had housing that was different so did not fit. (They sent me a different one than the picture also). They were rude and told me the part fit. THEY KEPT THE SHIPPING FEE! Really bad experience with this company!

The range of spares and the prices they charge should put ransom right up at the top. It's getting hold of the items that is a different matter. On the occasions where I've ordered a part and it was delivered: excellent.
On ever third occasion, it goes sour. The next-day delivery is nothing of the kind - it's fairer to describe it as next-week. The support staff do respond but appear to speak only in macros, so you may as well save your breath and wait for them to catch up.
If you can wait, and price is a priority then this will always be the first choice. If you need anything

Perfect replacement part for our broken Bosch oven glass. Very helpful customer service as the wrong part was sent out but immediately sorted and replaced with the correct part. I would definitely use them again as this saved us from having to replace the oven completely. Thank you for the great service

I paid for Next Day Delivery. But instead of sending the item using Royal Mail Guaranteed Delivery they sent it using Royal Mail Tracked 24. As a result the part didn't arrive next day because Royal Mail Tracked 24 is not a service that is guaranteed to deliver within next day. 3 days no part arrived.

I recently ordered a set of replacement freezer drawer covers from Ransom Spares. The parts themselves are exactly right, a good fit for the existing unit and a fair bit tougher than the original parts (or maybe the originals have just degraded).
