With many years experience of working remotely, business here continues largely as usual. Most things can be done from our home office in Cheltenham, and there are always alternatives or ways to accomodate site visits, surveys or face to face meetings. So do contact us as normal. Peter Ireland, who set up VOID:Projects and leads its architectural work, has been a practising architect for over 30 years, so we have plenty of experience to call on. VOID is a small architectural practice based in Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, with wide experience in solving problems, tailored to our clients individual needs.
Developing your brief, design and preparing your drawings and specifications is just the start. We can help advise you whether you are planning work near your boundary, or if you have received notice from your neighbours. We have a lot of experience carefully tailoring solutions for our clients, from the integrated fabric ceilings, heat and light shown at Lakeland, to solar shading, ventilation and daylighting systems.
A 1980s house, showing its age. But spacious and in a great location - a reworked entrance and stairs, some extension at first floor, open plan kitchen and some serious performance improvements. A '30's thatched cottage in a Cotswold village - the project was to extend the kitchen and bedroom, and rationalise the bathrooms.
A long established and sucessful arts centre, based in the village of Uley in Gloucestershire, with a reputation for innovative art promotion. We have a worked with the St. Vincent's & St. George's Association on several supported living and daycare projects. A busy congregational church, and a scheme to improve their hospitality and catering facilities, with an improved entrance, tea room and servery.
As part of their reorganisation of their manufacturing across the town, we were asked to look at their R&D needs. In the early 1990's Lakeland had outgrown their base in Windermere. This grew rapidly through 3 phases to house their entire distribution operation, with permission for further expansion.
