Wood floors are resilient and able to resist neglect and harsh treatment - but can begin to sulk after a few years of heavy traffic or lack of the right maintenance. Any previous makeover wears off and after 2-5 years your wood floor will look on the dull side and be ripe for refreshment - ie renovation.
