Overall a positive experience with Jim's - the flooring is fantastic, looks great and the fitter was fantastic (thanks Wayne) and completed to a very high standard. The fitter has said we can call him with any issues and that is very reassuring but I am confident we will not need to. Very pleased with the final result!
The only slight negative and hence 4 star review (not 5) is due to COVID complications, our original fitting date was not possible which resulted in a 1 month delay. I appreciate delays can happen but I only became aware once I called Jim's to pay the balance. However, Jim's kindly

We are so pleased with our new carpets. Sharon shared her knowledge with us helping us to choose a design from the huge selection of beautiful carpets in store. Allowing us to take samples home was a great help. Once we had decided, measuring up, ordering and fitting all followed speedily. Excellent customer service and I would definitely recommend Jims Carpets :-)

Firstly: Don’t think Jim’s Carpets is a quaint little carpet shop on Kirkstall Road. It’s a part of a much bigger operation called Floorstore with a huge warehouse at Cross Green and whose Directors live in those leafy suburbs North of Leeds where you and I can’t afford to buy a house.
Secondly: Despite claiming to be a family business with 135 year of history it’s values today do not live up to it’s promises. Any business that hides behind it’s Terms & Conditions in response to a genuine customer complaint is not one that I wish to do business with anymore and I shall not be returning

Absolutely shocking customer service. Paid £2,000 for 2 carpets 5 weeks ago and still they say they can’t fit them. Please do not waste your hard earned money on these people. Quick to take your money but not quick to deliver the goods. JC refused to give a refund therefore I will be taking legal advice.

Jims carpets sold us our LVT floor. What we didn't realise is that they use contractors to fit who we paid in good faith. The flooring hadn't been fitted properly, without screed underneath to level it and it was bumpy and had huge gaps. Contacting the store over the last 18 months has proved difficult and nothing has ever been resolved. Jims carpets say it is the contractors responsibility although this was not made clear to us on purchase. We believed the store was responsible for the work. Customer service was awful from the Manager who argued with us and would not accept they had to take any

Our vinyl in our bathroom started to go black underneath - we had one of the fitters come out to check who advised there was a leak under the bath- so we got a plumber, who advised there was no leak but it was due to the flooring not been fitted properly as the fitters had not sealed the floor - allowing water to go underneath. Along with this, we purchased what we thought to be waterproof laminate flooring - this has now gone warped, simply from mopping and also has chips from when it was fitted. We've only had this fitted for 6 months.

Do not buy a carpet from this company. I spent over £700 on 2 stair carpets. The fitting was horrendous, it was visibly frayed at the edge, constantly kept coming loose on the stairs and looked a mess. Their carpet fitter came out 4 times to try to correct it, and when it started to come loose once again, I insisted they sent out a different fitter. He was appalled and said that the whole carpet needed replacing, as it had been fitted so badly, it couldn't be re-fitted. When they replaced the carpet, they found that the carpet was also faulty, the backing turned to dust (in the words of the

I have bought 6 carpets from Jim's Carpets. I have been very happy with the staff in the shop, the quality of the carpets and the fitters until recently. The fitter who fitted my bathroom and toilet carpet recently, damaged the walls, skirting board and broke the side-panel fittings on my new bath. I did not receive return telephone calls from Jim's carpets when promised and I have not received acknowledgement of the 2 letters that I have written. The carpets are generally good but I have now discovered that the after sales service is non-existent. I will be looking for a different
