Our founder and Managing Director Steve Farrell start his career in the world of flooring at the age of 13, working as an apprentice at a carpet fitting company. Taking what he learned during his formative years, he went on to establish Borderline Carpet Planning Services Ltd, with a view to providing the highest levels of service and some of the best products and designs on the market.
Since then, he has grown Borderline considerably, branching out into new areas, including setting up the award-winning carpet brand, SYLKA in 2012 and supporting clients around the world. Thanks to our knowledge of the interior design and carpet industry we have forged relationships with some of the sectors leading brands and designers.

Borderline is one of the world's premier carpet suppliers and installers with over 6,000 products to choose from, whether you require a standard stock range or a hand-finished custom-made carpet - we have the solution for you. With experience of working with the marine sector over many years, we have assisted high-profile boat builders and marine interior designers with vessels ranging from 20 metres to 100 metres plus.
As well as fitted carpets we also supply bespoke customised rugs which are suitable for placing on any hard surface or on top of soft floor coverings. Each rug is made to order using your personal choice of carpet style and border trim. We have a huge range of materials to choose from so the end result is a unique piece which is totally your own creation.
We can supply any type of carpet in any price range, and can even get carpets custom made to your own design or colour. Yes, we work with Amtico and Karndean but not with any wood, laminate or tiled floor coverings. Yes, our measuring and fitting service includes borders for carpets. All borders are cut and stitched in our warehouse to ensure accuracy and to minimise the fitting time on-site.
