The introduction of IPPC replacing site licenses has brought a raft of changes through to the development and operation of landfill infrastructure. Landfill operators (and subcontractors operating power generation on their sites) are now required to comply with all aspects of the IPPC, which in itself refers to the Environment Agency guidance on the management of landfill gas.
We use geo-technical instruments GA2000 and GEM 2000 gas analysers for monitoring and balancing of gas fields. We also provide perimeter bore hole monitoring services, providing electronic data taken directly from the instrument into whatever format that you need. Landfill Pipe and Construction offer the installation of pin wells. Pinwells are short (approx 4-5.8 m deep) wells formed by inserting a pin into the waste, and fitting a 63mm slotted or drilled casing. The application of pinwells has been proved over many years on many landfill sites throughout the UK.
