Prior to the formation of architect8, Anthony was a Design Director at ARC Architects, Johannesburg, and Associate at Cole Thompson Anders, an award winning practice specialising in innovative sustainable design. Architect8 was founded on the wealth of experience gained working in these practices on projects of varying value in diverse market sectors, internationally and within the UK.
Not all projects require the full architectural service therefore we offer the client the possibility of creating a bespoke scope of works suited to the requirements and budget of the project - a Pick and Mix to meet the clients needs. In addition we offer sustainability consultancy and assessment services which can run in conjunction with architectural services or independently to another Architect's design.
We assess your identified site and provide a site appraisal document suggesting the potential development opportunity. Based on available documentation we consider the proposed site in accordance with project specific and statutory requirements whilst also considering surrounding environmental and contextual conditions.
We provide Architectural Design Appraisals for developers and contractors considering an existing design proposal to enable an informed and accurate costing and tender submission. Design solutions are proposed for any issues found with the proposed design, plus value engineering proposals outlining potential savings.
We provide Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments, certifying the environmental performance of new build homes in accordance with BRE national standards. We provide the full or partial service to meet your project needs including Pre-Assessment, Design Stage Review and Post-Construction assessment and certification.
