Window S.O.S originated from a growing need for expert help regarding various glazing repairs. By offering only genuine and honest advice we have established ourselves as the true professionals from within the industry of replacement double glazing and window repair. The majority of double glazing companies are entirely dependant on the replacement of new windows and door orders.
By far the biggest advancement in double glazing over the last 20 years has been in the double glazed units themselves. Whilst the Upvc profile and hardware has pretty much remained unchanged, the latest developments in energy efficient glass specification, reduces the heat lost through a double glazed unit by up to 75%, which can result in a 20% reduction in your energy costs.
Locking mechanisms are a common cause of failure on Upvc windows and doors. For years double glazing companies have marketed their products as being maintenance free, which is simply not the case. As with any mechanical product, locks require periodic lubrication to maintain them functioning correctly.

South facing glass units are more likely to fail, due to expansion and contraction in the summer months. If a glass unit is not supported correctly, then the two panes of glass will move over a period of time, causing the unit to mist/condensate or steam up.

Had a couple of misted windows in my kitchen and utility room, can be common for double glazing when its old but I think it was from previous installer error! These guys got me booked in and repaired my units in the same week!

I have used Window SOS on both a professional and personal basis for many years.
I initially found them though an advert and have never looked back since.
They have carried out work at my own properties, buildings that I manage through work and also for my friends and family.
