Burlanes design and create bespoke, handmade furniture and interiors of the highest quality. All of our furniture is handmade and painted in our own Kent workshop, by our skilled team of joiners and cabinet makers. We offer a totally bespoke service, ranging from freestanding kitchens, country kitchens, bespoke bathroom design and home offices, to smart storage solutions and kitchen larders.
Our people are our biggest asset, and we are incredibly proud of each and every single member of the Burlanes team, who work so hard to design, handmake and install our beautiful kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and furniture. Martin has joined Burlanes Sevenoaks as our design studio manager, with a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in the kbb industry.
Burlanes Chelmsford showcases all of our handmade furniture collections including our three bespoke kitchen styles, fitted bedroom furniture, bathrooms and living areas such as a bootroom, dining area, a breakfast pantry and a utility room/laundry. Our dedicated design team at Burlanes Chelmsford are always on hand to offer guidance and inspiration for your home.
Burlanes Sevenoaks is located in the heart of Sevenoaks, Kent, and showcases a range of our handmade kitchens, bathrooms, bedroom furniture, wardrobes and beautiful freestanding pieces of furniture for the home. We also have a fully functioning AGA Total Control, a Bora induction Cooktop and a Quooker boiling-water tap on display, and our upstairs library showcases a range of Ca' Pietra flooring and tiles.
All of our furniture is handmade in our own workshop located in the historic town of Rochester, by our team of talented and dedicated cabinet makers, joiners and craftsmen. Combining traditional style and craftsmanship with precision engineering and modern machinery, we create beautiful, handmade British furniture, using only the finest, sustainably sourced materials.

I had a really positive experience with Burlanes. We were able to have our horrible old kitchen from when we moved in transformed into a beautiful space which is much more suited to the property.
We began the process during lockdown so we weren’t able to go into the shop, but Martin went out of his way to make sure that the process was as seamless as possible. He spent lots of time with us on Zoom ensuring every detail had been discussed.

I can highly recommend Burlanes. When I started looking for a new kitchen for my house in London I found that every kitchen company I spoke to were not prepared to visit the house initially and wanted to work off drawings and measurements provided by myself. It was extremely important to me that a kitchen planner visited my house to appreciate the space and light. The design process of our bathroom was excellent. However they do not use computer aided design so you can't get true idea of finished product unlike our kitchen designers. We knew what we wanted and Lindsey brought it to life for us on paper. Bathroom was delayed due to the pandemic so delivery was slow after the lockdown. We had a few issues with timing and an accident occurred with our kitchen ceiling. This is still not properly addressed after 2 attempts and we have not been made aware of the next step. Overall it was a slow process so be sure you have a second bathroom for the duration of

Burlanes helped design and install our beautiful hand painted kitchen, they listened to our needs and ideas on how we hoped to use our space which was still being renovated when we visited the showroom. Where other handmade high street kitchen companies were only able to customise wall units as floor units for a narrower fit, Burlanes were able to build bespoke units in their workshop, built to exact size and matching design of the entire kitchen. The installation team were very accommodating and let us voice any concerns, and were happy to make changes as the units were fitted - we ended up with

Burlanes really took the time understand what we were looking for, taking account of both our style and our family's needs. They designed us a beautiful dresser and media unit that are in keeping with our home, cover all the ugly switches & sockets we wanted to hide, provide great storage and are robust enough to withstand 3 children whilst still looking stylish and elegant. The service, from design through installation, was first class and we're thrilled with the end result.

I love my kitchen! From the very start, Burlanes have demonstrated that they are experts in their field. Lindsey really took the time to understand how our family works to plan the kitchen perfectly. She even rolled with my strange request that I wanted a kitchen based on a mussel shell! Their personal and customer service was great, including design, the workshop, and Andy and the on-site and after-care team. I highly recommend Burlanes.

I couldn’t recommend Burlanes more highly. Many visitors have commented that our new kitchen is the most beautiful kitchen they’ve ever seen – including professionals who see a lot of kitchens. Lindsey is hugely talented and such a pleasure to work with. There isn't anything she doesn't know about kitchens! She also designed three new bathrooms and a utility room, and beautiful bespoke cupboards for an entrance hall; all fabulous, in sometimes tricky spaces where we were blending contemporary fittings with Tudor/Georgian architecture.
