Dan is a chartered architect with over 20 years experience based in Frome Somerset. The practice offers a full architectural design service for building projects; including new build works, extensions, alterations and refurbishment projects. Architectural designs developed to acquire statutory approvals such as planning services and building control.
Projects are detailed with schedules of work or a full design specification for the tender and construction stages. Architectural services will include advising Building Owners at pre-planning stage on an appropriate courses of action to ensure that their proposed works will be compliant with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
Typically in urban centres a high proportion of residences are adjoined to neighbouring properties and share a common boundary where any proposed work that will affect the boundary will be covered by the Act. Party Wall Services are to assist both Building Owners and Adjoining Owners to ensure that the work proceeds properly protecting the rights of both owners.

Working as a sole practitioner from my home office in Frome I am available to offer friendly advice and architectural services from the start to the finish of your project.
Party Wall Services will provide impartial advice to the owners and occupiers to ensure that all parties rights and responsibilities are understood in compliance with the Party Wall Act. to enable home owners to carry out work on or next to a shared wall. I can act as Party Wall Surveyor for either a building or an adjoining owner, or as agreed surveyor for both parties.
Party Wall Services as Building Owner Surveyor, Adjoining Owners Surveyor or as Agreed Surveyor can be offered as fixed fees, or provided at competitive hourly rates. Please note that under usual circumstances all fees are paid by the Building Owner where the Party Wall works are solely of their benefit.
Dan helped us to transform a single skin cold lean to kitchen into a warm inviting and very well used kitchen and wet room, he completely understood our remit and created the plans to exactly how I imagined our new space to look. He supported us through the difficulties of being a terrace house and the party wall legislation and guided us through the planning application.

We asked dan to deal with our third party wall as we knew nothing about this and lived in a semi detached.Dan responded really quickly and chatted it over with our neighbours in a knowledgeable and personable manner. In a very short time he had taken photographs of our work going on plus the next door neighbours rooms next to the party wall. Both we and our neighbours were happy that no risk. The cost was very competitive.
