Services
The Manor House Residential Home, lies within its own walled grounds on Beckspool Road, Frenchay, Bristol, The site has an area of about 1.7 Ha, and accommodates a group of long established residential homes for the care of people with learning disabilities, many of whom have profound physical disabilities and complex health problems.
The Sir Bernard Lovell School is a fully comprehensive 11-19 co-educational school to the east of Bristol. For over a decade Curtis Cryer Architects have worked with the school to improve and extend their facilities, including the Giotto Main Entrance, Administration and Arts Block, Technology Extension, Kitchen refurbishment, Post 16 Centre, Learning Hub, all weather sports surfaces and Sports Centre.

I had the recent pleasure of working with David at Curtis Cryer architects to advice, draw and navigate through our recent planning application. We are based in BOA and adhering to the rule's of a conservation area are tricky at the best of times - however Davids knowledge and advice was invaluable - we wouldn't have received our approval without him. David helped us through the design, planning and building Regulations for our new home, we found him to be thoroughly professional throughout. We were quite demanding in our requirements and David responded not only with great ideas to help us achieve our desires but with enormous patience and understanding for which we are most grateful. Curtis Cryer was recommended to us by a friend. Dave Cryer listened then created the design, took it through all stages of the planning process for us and helped us through the tendering process. We chose to manage the build ourselves but Dave was very helpful whenever we had any queries. The result is an imaginatively transformed and rejuvenated house. Highly recommended, thorough and easy to work with.

I've worked with David and Matthew on multiple projects over the last 20 years when I worked with a local construction company. Based on some great experience there; I recently re-engaged with them for assistance with alterations at my own property. They came up with some fantastic ideas and designs which I hadn't considered. David and Matthew are both easy to work with and approachable. I've got no hesitation in recommending them; and already talking with them about the possibility of a new project.

8 years ago I approached Curtis Cryer to produce drawings for a conversion of my 2 bed bungalow to a 4 bed house. I had some rough ideas of my own but they created something far superior to my original thoughts. The result was a refined, cohesion of front and side extensions with defined front entrance. This was more than just a simple roof dorma as careful consideration was given to a small lowering of both ceiling and floor heights to optimise habitable space in the old loft. I now have 4 double bedrooms and featured vaulted living-space ceilings plus so much more light throughout. So pleased

I have worked with Curtis Cryer for over fifteen years. They are high quality architects with real attention to detail and a flair for design regardless of the size of the project.
