Minster-Gothic.com is a unique furniture business, offering a variety of products and services. As the name suggests, over the 40+ years we have been established we have become specialists in gothic style furniture and accessories. My wife Angela keeps my feet on the ground, and more often than not is responsible for the staining and polishing of our bespoke items of furniture.
Our custom items of furniture are made for us by Jason Caley, a skilled local cabinet-maker. Of course you can order any item you see on the site, but we're always happy to design and make new items for you. These items will be then be added to the website and usually named after the customer who ordered.
One of his specialities is making SOLID PINE FITTED KITCHENS made to your exact requirements. We have developed 5 distinct styles and many finishes for our Minster Gothic range and we're always open to suggestions for more! All items in the range are available in any of the 5 styles (or a "fusion" of any) and an endless choice of finishes.

All items hand-made and hand-carved from reclaimed pine, then hand-waxed to a rich antique pine finish. Because it is made from reclaimed pine it has an authentic antique look to it, and indeed may have the occasional split, dent or other characteristic normally associated with an original antique item.

They have also always made a range of "Replica Antique" pieces, many of them authentic copies of original antique items from various historic and period styles.
If you are ever looking for an individual piece of pine furniture to a special size, design or finish/shade, please contact us. It may be that you have an alcove that needs a specially made dresser, or a wardrobe that needs to go in a room with low, or sloping ceilings. Or maybe you need that special item to fulfil a certain purpose and you just can't find it, however hard you try.
Each unit is hand-made in East Yorkshire by expert craftsmen. We can supply standard size units or make units to special sizes, so no "filler panels" need be used. Work-tops can be supplied in Solid-Oak, Beech or Granite. The units can be supplied in a waxed finish, waterproof waxed finish, or a hand-painted finish.
