Arrived when the delivery was supposed to and was exactly what I ordered using the online form. Returning customer after large order of decking a few years back and still great condition. I was very satisfied with both the delivery and the materials. The driver was very obliging and unloaded the goods in the pouring rain on a road with restricted access.

Timber Treatment Report

Osmose Naturewood preserved wood is the name given to timber that has been preserved with an Osmose preservative system which is based on copper and an organic co-biocide (Alkaline Copper Quaternary). Alkaline Copper Quaternary systems have provided proven performance for almost a decade in locations throughout Europe, North America, Australia and Japan.

Stock Holding Report

With upwards of half a million pounds worth of stock on the ground at any one time, this makes Shawfield Timber with its 30,000 ft2 storage area makes us one of the largest stockests of general and specialist timber products anywhere in Scotland. We have over 2500 different lines with enormous variety of lengths and sections, all controlled by specially written computer systems.

Machining Report

Probably the most advanced of our services. We have spent much time and money investing in the latest sophisticated woodworking machinery. Bespoke mouldings are an increasingly demanded requirement with renovations of old buildings and the fashions of a more tasteful time make this a highly sought after service.

Timber Decking Calculator Report

This calculator works out the joists at 500mm centres and nails are added pick 47 x 100 or 47 x 150 both will do the job but 47 x 150 is recommended if you are raising the deck from ground level. If you want the decking raised pick the height from the drop down box, this height is from ground to top of the deck.

I recently ordered decking from Shawfield Timber and found the staff very helpful and professional. I was kept updated with the delivery schedule which arrived as promised. The goods were of a good quality.

Can't believe the level of bad reviews these guys get, mind you I always pick my stuff up so delivery isn't a problem for me.
Used them extensively for large decking and fencing projects and have found that the price's are good and the wood is good quality.
The guys in reception are helpful and the lads in the warehouse are always happy to help you load up

I ordered 7 oak doors online through Shawfield Timber in late January, what they had in stock was delivered within 2 days. The other out of stock doors had to come from XL Joinery, these were delivered the following week.
Unfortunately one of the doors was wrong type and this wasn’t picked up by myself at that time.
The carpenter had to delay fitting for a couple of weeks due to COVID-19 and it was only then that the mistake was noticed.
I contacted Shawfield Timber and spoke to Nicola and explained the situation and asked if there was anything that they could do, fully expecting to be told
