I am Alan Cooke, 'the ACC' of ACC Building & Joinery Ltd, the Nottinghamshire based family builders offering an exceptionally talented workforce, specialising in bespoke projects and dedicated customer focus and family values. At ACC Building & Joinery Ltd we understand when you make the decision to renovate, build or extend it can be one of the biggest investments you make, both financially and emotionally.
At ACC Building & Joinery we have been looking for a while at the best ways to offset the impact that carbon emmisions from our work and everyday life is having on our planet. After looking at various options, we have signed up with Ecologi, a platform that facilitates the funding of carbon offset projects and tree planting around the world.
Our current and exciting project is this Passive House, an energy efficient building designed to reduce the property's ecological footprint, resulting in an ultra-low energy home that requires little energy for space heating or cooling. We are progressing well as shown below. This new build property was a tradition family home with Spanish slate roof and Larch cladding.
On this delightful listed property, a new glass extension, landscaping and lighting gave a perfect balance between traditional building and contemporary style. After completely opening up the ground floor, we installed underfloor heating and a new kitchen. We then landscaped the garden which included a seating area, water feature and new driveway.
Another bespoke project for the team - A delightful porch extension, oak framed garage with wood store and landscaping project for one happy customer!. These photographs show how we completely changed the entrance to this property by removing the existing glass roofed entrance, creating a new front door through an oak framed porch which led to a new office and self contained annex.
