If you are looking to add space to your home, a rear extension might be the easiest to accommodate from a planning and spatial point of view. The loft space can be used as much as 30% of the total floor area of the property and can be turned into living space by adding windows and stairs. Not all lofts are suitable for conversion. They need to be 2.4m high to allow for steel beams, a suspended floor and ridge beam, which all takes space from the room.
Almost all properties have some potential for renovation or remodeling but the key is assessing design, financial potential and your very personal needs before committing. Daniel was involved in doing some structural changes in my home. We took down a major external structural wall and installed new bifold doors. The entire work area was also fully plastered.
