The mats are cultivated for up to 18 months after sowing the sedum in order to achieve full vegetation cover. They are then hand lifted from our farm to your roof in 24-48 hours resulting in a beautiful green roof with minimal disruption to you. Sedums are evergreen succulents popularly used by gardeners to create beautiful rock gardens and borders. They are self-generating, drought resistant and capable of withstanding extremes of climate. This makes them particularly suitable for roofs where they thrive and enhance the environment both aesthetically and ecologically.
Thanks for the advice on the maintenance - it's great to have such dry and warm weather at the moment - but some of our plants are starting to notice it! The frequency and level of maintenance of the Green Roof is down to the discretion of the client/building owner and the plant appearance they wish to maintain.
Outbuildings can often look dull and boring but that's not the case here. It's been a busy couple of months for us here at Green Roofs Naturally. From sedum green roof installations to maintenances, we've been working hard on some lovely projects. This summer, garden studios have become increasingly popular.
Your service was excellent. Really helpful advice and lovely product. We are really happy with it and have already had many people complementing the roof. Having purchased the mats on a supply only basis i can say the product is also really easy to install and the lifting forks are definitely helpful.
