Services
The company was established by Robert Bell in 1999 trading as R Bell Tree Services with one member of Staff building up to two Teams of two including Robert. In 2005 Robert purchased his first truck mounted hydraulic platform to make jobs faster and safe, this platform then started getting hired out to other tree surgeons so over the next year or so more platforms were purchased.
We offer arboricultural consultancy services. With many years of experience in tree care and consultancy, we are able to provide you with a range of services to diagnose arboreal disorders and advise you of the most suitable solution. At R Bell UK Ltd, our Consultant has practical experience in inspecting trees and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Arboriculture from the University of Central Lancaster.
R Bell UK Ltd can offer a full traffic management as all our staff are chapter eight certificated which allows us to sign and control traffic on a public highway. We can arrange all works with Highways for you. Trees that overhang a public highway should be at least 5.2m above the road, and 2.5m over pavements.
We can grind any size of stump using one of our stump grinders to a depth of up to 12inch causing minimal damage to surrounding ground. The bi-product from stump grinding is a mixture of soil, wood and small stone which we can leave on site or just leave the grindings level with ground. If required we can remove all of the grindings and replace with soil and seed if the stump was in a grassed area.
R Bell UK Ltd logs are all kiln dried, resulting in a moisture content of less than 20%. You can burn our kiln dried firewood straight away; no drying time required, the very low moisture content means that you get a clean burn with maximum heat output. Softwood is useful for starting a fire and when you need a fire for a short period of time, as it is less dense and produces a stronger flame and burns faster than hardwoods.
