To the untrained eye trees may not always show obvious signs of disease or decay. The disease or decay may affect stability and the structural integrity of your tree, making it more likely to fall, especially in strong winds. Disease in some species can be found in the outer limbs, like Ash. Ash die back can cause deadwood to establish, when a large proportion of the canopy has died it maybe time to remove.
Every tree and species is different, Fruit Trees particularly benefit from the Selective Reduction and Thinning pruning techniques which include the removal of sub dominant or weak branches. This opens the tree to light and air flow. Improving the correct growth and helping increase fruit yields. In rural Norfolk we see a lot of country gardens with overgrown fruit trees.

Report
Simon and his colleague did a terrific job of cutting down about 6 trees and pruning a very large beech tree and two overgrown apple trees. They worked extremely hard and cleared everything away afterwards. Would highly recommend and will be using again in the future.
