Hi, My name is David. I've been trading as a plumbing and heating engineer since 2004. I started off in Sheffield installing bathrooms, kitchens and carrying out general plumbing work before qualifying as a gas engineer. With this I went on to install and service gas appliances as well as unvented hot water systems.
I also undertook water regulations training so that I could sign off my own work without the need for informing Building Control. Four years later I moved to the Orkney Isles at which point I retrained to work on oil fired appliances and oil tanks as well as taking F Gas training to allow me to install Air source heat pumps.
During that time I undertook a contract with Scottish Gas to install and upgrade heating systems within the Orkneys, Caithness and Shetland. With my team of ten, we installed aroung six heating systems per week across our area and gained valuable experience in Oil, Gas and Air source heat pumps. In 2012 I moved to the Scottish Borders where I am now running a heating and plumbing company.
