I visited Housing Units in the New Year after cancelling my Sofology order after they promised quick before Christmas but then my sofa was lost somewhere in Scotland.
Anyway I liked a couple of sofas in HU which were both in stock. I spoke to a lovely lady named Anne in the sofa department and she even gave me her number if I decided to order when I returned home.
I decided to go for the Windsor velvet range and chose the colour. I called Anne on 3rd January she advised they were in stock and paid a deposit over the phone and the rest via BACS.I was advised the delivery Dept would be in contact

Spent £3k on furniture with a promised 10 week delivery. It took double that time and was delivered damaged. Asked them to repair - no. Asked for compensation - no. Their response? We will come and take it back if you don't want it, but can't give you back your deposit or sort the finance you've paid. Not even a response to any letters or calls so I am now taking them to court.

I bought an item which i was told would be delivered in store and i'd be contacted i wasn't, so a week later i rang as wanted to buy a gift for someone else and didn't want the hassle of traveling twice, was told it was in the collection centre so i had to go there had no order code to collect?! Once i opened it was part missing and the packing was damp and mouldy as was the item which was ruined. Travelled again to return it and felt the staff didn't care. Still waiting to collect the item very annoyed. Terrible customer service. Unless it was my skin tone annoying them who knows?! .

Ordered a Christmas bundle and paid next day delivery costing £10- items were delivered 4 days late, then when I requested to return them the collection did not happen on 2 occasions after I had taken 2 afternoons off to take the delivery and be at home when they were due to be collected. Not impressed by their service at all plus its difficult to get through when I telephone. I wish I could rate zero!

Never have I received such appalling service from so many different departments. When being told for the second time that my order was delayed, I asked "What alternative options there were?" to which the person on the phone replied, "Wait until January or you get a refund!" in a very sharp tone.
Following that, I was then told that I could not use a finance option for my order without visiting the store, which nobody had ever informed me before. When I asked another member of staff, I was then told that I could do the finance option and a member of staff would be in contact. No member of staff

The service of this merchant is just horrible. Completely untrustworthy. We made the mistake of ordering the same table twice. The first time , we had a delay of 5 months and of course we cancelled the order. However, given the good quality and the milited choice in other providors at that point of time, we decided to order the same table again. The second time , we were informed about an initial delay of 2 months and then again of another two months.
Yes the quality is good , but try to research online and you will find the same products , in lower prices and,most importantly, available for delivery

Ordered a bedroom suite in May and was told to expect delivery in October. In the first week of October I received a telephone call from Housing Units to say that they were having difficulties getting the order from their supplier and that this would be delayed until December. I was very disappointed to say the least after a 5 month wait however, I put this down to Covid difficulties and decided to wait until December. December has arrived and having heard nothing further I rang HU and was told the order was due to arrive on the 10th Dec.

Awful company. They are con artists. Took our deposit. Missed delivery after delivery. We were unable then to accept the delivery 6 months later due to having a leak. They offered to store for £35 per week. As they can only store 28 days free of charge. We accepted. 2 weeks later aware we would have a £70 storage charge we contacted to arrange delivery. We were told goods hadn’t arrived. The. 2 days later we were told it was being delivered but would let us know a delivery date. 2 weeks later no delivery and they cancelled order. Reason: no delivery 28 days after arrival even

Ordered some dining chairs in MARCH. Was told they would be delivered in June....then in August....then in October....then end of November but possibly December or beyond!!!.....lie after lie, shocking customer service, asked twice for a senior member of staff to contact me to discuss the matter but no contact. staff who i speak to on the phone couldn't care less. nearly 9 months and still no date can he given for delivery, NOT GOOD ENOUGH. on top of that you cheeky b**stards want £60 to deliver them?! absolute jokers. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

I am most surprised that this centre isn't rated higher. I struggled to find fault with anything. A large choice of home furnishings at competitive prices, together with helpful and knowledgeable staff. If you think there is a better furniture store around then please let me know. The general lack of face mask wearing was a little disconcerting but apart from that...

Housing units very big store sells everything you need for your house apart from conservatory.staff are very helpful friendly nothing is too much trouble spend time with you with questions that you need answering on their products. Has a cafe which I think is a little bit expensive but it is good quality.

Great place to come if you like different things. There is only one housing units and im lucky enough to have it down the road from me. They have two building one that houses. Beds, garden furniture, bathrooms and accessories, candles, pictures and mirrors. The other has fire places, sofas, dining furniture, kitchen accessories, bedding, lighting and jewellery. Both have a restaurant which sells breakfast, lunch, cakes.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They even has a greeter to open the door for you as you enter and exit.
Very recommended if your in the area.

Visited the Wickentree restaurant today and was amazed to find such a lovely upmarket restaurant within the store. Menu was limited but had excellent choice, and the fish and chips I chose was absoluely delicious, albeit quite a small portion. It was beautifully served, by polite and friendly staff, and cooked to perfection the best fish and chips I've had for a long time. The ambience of the restaurant was chilled, easy and refined. I loved the restaurant, and will certainly be visiting again. The missing fifth star is because the portion was rather small, given the price. Other than that

Glad we knew what we wanted when we returned to purchase on Saturday. For some unknown reason, Housing Units was my last resort for a new bed. Even though I went almost every week with my mum when I was younger and its only one mile from where I live, I just didn't think about coming here.
I'm going to focus on beds in this review because I didn't really look at anything else this visit.

An excellent 'Shop' with several different departments. Right now there is a fantastic display of Christmas decorations and goods.
The thing to mention here is if you're looking for Bargains, this is not the place to go, but if you're looking for Quality goods or Furniture, then you've a chance of getting something that's different to those on offer on the high street.

A wonderful store offering a wide range of beautiful modern & traditional furniture displayed in 2 large 2 floor showrooms. We go there for everything from Living room suites, dining room furniture, bathrooms & fittings, flooring, fires & fire places, kitchen ware, towels & linen to ornaments, designer handbags, occasional furniture and garden & conservatory furniture. Housing Units has been in business for 60 years and the services and products reflect this, this is home shoppers paradise!! It sell everything to make your home look fantastic and i would say for the quality is fair in price, i wont decieve you it not cheap, but boy the quality is amazing. They sell bathrooms, fireplaces, all types of furniture, and beautiful ornaments i can promise you this is a place to make a house look like a home, a truely amazing Home.
