Their design studio is based in Udine and for the last 25 years has undertaken a wide range of design projects. Edi & Paolo designed the Topaz range. Dick designed the Tivoli range. Povl Eskildsen gained experience within the family's furniture factory in the 60s and 70s. Following a Master's Degree in furniture design from the Denmark School of Architecture in 1986, Povl has worked as a freelance furniture designer all over the world.

Alexander Rose has been at the forefront of garden furniture design and manufacturing since 1994, and has gained a reputation as a market leader for high quality wooden furniture. For over twenty years we have designed classic wooden benches, tables and chairs using a variety of durable FSC hardwoods and softwoods.
Benches are at the core of our Cornis range and includes our most popular bench designs as well as a companion set. Made from 100% FSC certified timber, the dense almost knot-free grain of the Cornis comes with an oiled finish, giving it a smooth luster. Dark brown in colour, the Cornis collection is a perfect fit for any garden.
Mahogany is a durable hardwood with all the characteristics for making strong and elegant garden furniture. The range includes a variety of benches and an attractive swing seat with a canopy in either a Forest Green or Ecru colour. Our Mahogany furniture is made from 100% FSC certified wood. The wood is red/ pink in colour when freshly cut, and if left in its natural state, it will age beautifully to a delicate silver grey colour.

After researching various companies and products I ordered the Rimini Corner Set on the basis that additional components and chairs from the range could be added. Despite Alexander Rose advertising these items on their websites they are in fact only supplying as part of a set. They also have not bothered to communicate this to their suppliers. I am now left with an expensive corner set which I cannot add to and cannot return. Complete misrepresentation of their products. Such a shame as the product is of very good quality.

One month ago I bought a 4-place set of Roble wood folding table and chairs and I must say that I am absolutely delighted by the design, quality and workmanship of this furniture. The only snag was that three official AR dealers in Sussex and Kent declined to sell the set that I wanted; hence I bought the set from Sussex Country Gardener at Mark Cross who were extremely helpful and provided a good servce.

I took our wooden furniture apart yesterday for the winter to flat pack store in the shed. If it sounds like a lot of effort but it is only 6 Allen key bolts and 4 Phillips screws. Left it out covered last year but winter still took a toll. One of the allen key bolts had been rounded by the installer. Rang Alexander Rose yesterday morning, today at 0900 with the postman a free replacement bolt and a spare.

We've owned an Alexander Rose garden furniture set for around seven years. It's lasted very well but recently we needed spare parts. On the off-chance I called in to their factory unit in Sussex and asked their advice. They could not have been more helpful, especially Gary the workshop manager. Thank you for the great service. We're really glad we bought local all those years ago.

We bought our outdoor furniture from Alexander Rose this summer and are thoroughly pleased with it. We purchased 5 lounge chairs (including a corner version) and a matching 'coffee table'. The quality of the wood and workmanship is excellent and the fabric for the chair cushions is brilliant. It feels like a natural fibre but is waterproof and marks wipe off easily (including bird droppings). We had a small issue with the table which AR resolved quickly and without question.
I can thoroughly recommend Alexander Rose to anyone looking for quality furniture which will last and look great for years
