Cotswold Thresholds
With more of us looking to improve rather than move - and the current trend being towards a more natural look and feel - Cotswold Thresholds' treadplates are a real interior design statement and, unlike unsightly aluminium door profiles, add a real touch of class to any home.

Using mahogany, oak and beech, our door strips are available in double- and single-ramp profile styles to suit carpet-to-carpet, carpet-to-vinyl and carpet-to-natural flooring. They are also available in two widths (32mm and 45mm) and two lengths (1m and 2m).

All our hardwoods are sourced from managed forests and FSC-certified suppliers and finished by hand with two coats of oil to produce a smooth soft sheen finish that enhances the beauty of the wood. The non-toxic oil used is water and heat resistant and the same used on many children's wooden toys. And, unlike many 'cheap' softwood alternatives using dyes and varnishes, Cotswold Thresholds can be re-finished to restore them to an as-new condition.
Services
Cotswold Thresholds are an attractive, natural alternative to the standard, unsightly aluminium door bars found in many homes. They are a great way to complement and accessorise floors and doorways and bring a real touch of class to your home. All our carpet thresholds are hand-finished in the Cotswolds and are designed primarily for carpet-to-carpet and carpet-to-vinyl flooring.
Each Cotswold Threshold is supplied with pre-drilled metal fixing brackets and screws. To ensure a flush finish, rebates have been cut into the underside of each threshold to accommodate the brackets. The thresholds can then be fixed to the floor by either nailing through the fixing brackets, or using screws and plugs.
Wood & Laminate Flooring suppliers usually offer a selection of colour matching thresholds, which are 'rebated' to overlap and sit on top of the flooring. This conceals the edge of the flooring and any uneveness. This 'rebated' design is also suitable for ceramic or stone tiles. Cotswold Thresholds were designed specifically for the carpet trade.
