Always on hand for you and your solicitor with advice and clarification, I provide more than a survey I provide safe and steady assurance at a time when you are making big decisions on your home buying journey. I am passionate about property and the reasons why we use buildings the way we do. This passion has led me to research and author books and lecture to the surveying profession.

Starting from a carpentry background, I went on to graduate from Reading University with a first-class honours degree in Building Surveying and being chartered into the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 1997. I was awarded the Fellowship in 2010 for the research and publication of my book "Residential Building Defects".
I provide a range of surveying services to suit a range of building types and requirements from clients. These are all based on RICS guidance and can provide services that surpass standard surveys available in the market place. I ensure that anyone wanting to find out everything there is to know about a house can come to me for the answer.

I am a carpenter in Frome and Geoff recently surveyed the property that we have just purchased. We found him through recommendations within the building community.
