We design and produce authentic switches that comply with modern safety standards and fit directly onto standard wall boxes, enabling customers to create a period theme throughout their renovation project.
Established in 1989, we are a small family run artisan company working from a workshop in the rural Yorkshire Dales. We use traditional techniques and craftsmanship to produce what we believe to be the finest quality wooden back plates available. We complement this by incorporating the finest quality electrical components which we source from British companies.
We use the Wandsworth Group wherever possible as they are widely considered to produce the best quality components and uphold our commitment to support British manufacturing.

Available in brown or white, Olivers Lighting's Bakelite light switches recapture the style and essence of the 1930's and 1940's. The Bakelite switch is mounted onto a hardwood backplate and supplied with an adaptor bracket to provide direct fitting of the Bakelite switch onto a standard electrical wall box.
Closely modelled on an original in the Olivers Lighting collection, the elegant fluted domed cover and brass dolly switch are housed in a Staffordshire ceramic body and sit into a hardwood plinth.
