In 2013, we were awarded a high profile job working on behalf of Lowther Forestry along the river Eden in Appleby with work beginning on a sunny spring day.
We were instructed to undertake river bank reprofiling works where the existing bank vegetation is stripped back and a thin layer of topsoil is mixed with subsoil before reseeding. Working with our client at Hydrock, we competatively tendered and won a contract for felling almost 90 semi mature Cyrpess trees to make way for an exciting new development project in the Nottingham area.
A firm favourite of ours - Macdonald Hotels. It was at their wonderfully situated Leeming House Hotel on the banks of Lake Ullswater that we won a contract to fell and dismantle a very mature, declining Cedar tree which posed a danger to the hotel residents.
