As well as pattern books to choose from, we have a remnant warehouse upstairs with up to a hundred room-sized pieces if you want to find something cheap and cheerful to fit your size. We're happy to supply just the carpet, or if you need a fitting service too that's no problem - all of our fitters are experienced experts.
It's hard to tell why some carpets are a lot more expensive than others, so we've written this short guide to help steer you through the choices. We've tried to speak in plain English, so we're sorry if some of our carpet geekiness snuck in. Carpet can be made from wool or a few different man-made fibres.
Smooth flooring has come a long way from the early days of "lino". Modern cushioned vinyls are often mistaken for wood floors, and they're a cost-effective alternative to laminate. Made in sheet form (they come in widths from 1 metre to 4 metres) they are quick to fit, which helps keep the cost down, and means no joins for water or dirt to get into, hence they are a clean and waterproof choice.
In the showroom we have 10 display beds, these are our main range and we think these offer all the choice anyone needs. They range in price from 90 to 550 for a double mattress, or 69 to 400 for a single. At the low end are traditional sprung mattresses, then pocket sprung ones, and finally pocket sprung memory foam ones with all the bells and whistles.
Choosing a bed is a tough thing to do. You spend a third of your life in it, so you want it to be right. Our advice is that you can read all you like on the internet but ultimately you need to lie on some beds to work out what suits you. You're welcome to come and lie on our display beds to see what feels right.
