John Dowling Falconry Ltd is a privately owned company based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. We are a Raptor Awards approved training provider and network member. Our centre, The Falconry Academy, is located in Bristol just a short drive from Junction 17 of the M5. The Academy is open by appointment only for our wide range of falconry experiences and training courses.

Not only did we meet and fly such a different selection of falcons, hawks, a buzzard and an owl, John explains how habitat and diet make the differences in form and behaviour of the different species.
We have only a limited number of volunteering positions to join our dedicated staff and stunning birds of prey. As a volunteer you will be involved in a variety of jobs including cleaning, preparing food and general DIY tasks. Individuals who prove themselves to be capable and reliable will be able to handle the birds, however this is not the main aspect of the role.
