Services
Joe Fields - Joe is the newest recruit to the company and has a landscaping background, trained at Capel Manor and looks out for everyone's interests especially the customer. Thrives on cake or toast! Candece - Secretary of Height and Light and personal assistant to Patrick. You will speak to her when you call the office.
Pruning - general term for various techniques of removing branches. We employ shigo's recommendations for compartmentalization (To prevent infection which might damage the rest of the tree). Formative pruning - taking control of the tree's growth at an early stage in its development reducing the need for heavy pruning in the future.
As you can see from the photograph on the left, the root systems of mature trees can be extensive. Imagine what these roots could do to the foundations of your house or garage if left unchecked. This tree actually came down across a main road, narrowly missing a car and its occupants. This demonstrates the need for tree hazard recognition.
Step 1: This is an important first step. The reason why this step is first is because everything you do might depend on where you are going to plant your tree. Large trees aside, there are many pruning jobs that you can do on your own. In all cases, the key is to prune the unwanted branch while protecting the stem or trunk wood of the tree.

I came across these guys based on a recommendation made on FB. Patrick and the team (which includes his sons) are such nice, polite, and hardworking people. They came promptly at 8.30am with all their tools and worked in the blazing heat until 5pm. They took down a sycamore tree that was very tall and big, overseeing multiple gardens. The price they gave me was a very reasonable one and beat all others that quoted me. I am honestly so glad that I went with these guys and would certainly recommend them.

I have used Height and light on several occasions and each time they have been extremely hard working, reliable and trustworthy. I got recommended to Height and Light from a community app NEXT DOOR as I was looking for a tree surgeon.
From the moment I called them to the moment they left, having finished their job, I got nothing but smiles, friendliness and just a general feeling that they loved and took pride in their work.
Bradley was my first point of contact, and then once they took the job, I realised it’s a family run business.
