Established in 1875, Woods Furniture is one of the largest quality furniture stores in the South West of England. By 1907 Woods had expanded to two stores: Woods Domestic Stores at 48 High East Street and a furniture store at 35 High East Street where the business still trades to this day. Woods Domestic Stores sold everything from baskets and china to furniture while the other store focused on furniture, flooring and curtains.

Terrible quality of product. I purchased a dining chair and after just over 1 year I went to sit on it and it collapsed (You've been framed moment).
I took the seat cover off and the metal frame was completely rusted and had snapped. Not what I would expect from any chair let alone one costing hundreds of £.
Very bad quality. Not impressed.
Customer Services gave me the usual "its out of warranty so cant do anything".

Possibly one of the poorest demonstrations of customer service in the history of customer service.
Having placed an order for Stressless Furniture amounting to over £10,000 nearly 5 months ago and taking a deposit of £2,500. Woods furniture of Dorchester are yet to deliver our furniture.
They have been devoid of any communication or updates on shipping progress following a number of calls and requests for updates. No one in their senior management team has bothered to respond or indeed seem to care.
Appalling service, sad to have tried to support a local business and have been let down on

Ordered 2 sofas and an ottoman in April and was told by the salesman they would be delivered by the end of August, at the latest beginning of September. They were delivered yesterday 5th November!! We were constantly lied to about delivery! The manager is incredibly rude and indifferent! I would warn everyone to read the back of the order form before signing as there are lots of get out clauses! Once signed you cannot get a refund under any circumstances!! We would never use this company again!

Scott has been absolutely brilliant. Bit of a shaky start with Woods Furniture, as I had to wait almost six months for my chair..
then it arrived damaged. But, Scott's customer service has been second to none, both by e.mail and phone. So thank you Scott for all your efforts to put things right. I would now recommend your Company...give Scott a Christmas bonus 😀

We had been to the large retail outlets but always know you're more than likely in for high pressure salesmanship and shoddy after sales service. We went to Woods, a traditional Furniture shop with traditional traits. Great customer service, knowledge and most of all, you're at ease with no pressure to buy. A great all-round shopping experience. Thank you.

We visited Woods a few weeks ago to look at some products for our new dining/kitchen area. They were so helpful and patient with us, especially as we wanted to move a lot of things around to see the items together. Nothing was too much trouble and we were even able to order various items, but have them all delivered in Sept when the space will be ready. Special mention to Phil for looking after us so well :)

We purchased two bar stools, in June, to finish off our new kitchen island. The stools arrived quickly, incredibly well packaged and in pristine condition. They're comfy, look fantastic and are completely different to anything we've seen anywhere else.
The great quality product, and service, encouraged us to purchase a table and chairs in July. Again they arrived quickly and safely and were easy to put together. They look great, they match the bar stools in terms of colour and material, and best of all are incredibly good quality.

Great selection. Called up to seek some clarification. Emily Griffiths answered and was amazing at helping ensure that two items from different suppliers would work, by taking a photo of the two items I was interested in. We are really pleased... firstly that I stopped into your showroom to look at bar stools, as I was originally thinking about a completely different design, Lena was really helpful and took me all over the store in search of options. Woods have a really wide selection of stools The Douglas Bar Stool was perfect for what we wanted (size, style etc). Secondly, the stools are really comfortable and look great in our new kitchen, as I didn't want anything too modern, or chrome! Delivery was quick and very well packaged. PERFECT!"
