In order to help prolong the life of any gas burning appliance it is recommended they are serviced every 12 months. Gas Safe and all manufacturers recommend this and with many you will invalidate any warranty if this is not done. The focus of the service is on safety and efficiency so a strip down of the appliance and a general clean is the first step.
If you are happy with your fireplace but need or want a new fire I can fit a fire to suits your needs. Not only will a new fire look good, all modern fires have safety features on them and depending on model can be more efficient too. I work closely with local fire shops and am a registered engineer for Gazco and Brilliant fires.
If you need a new free standing cooker or a gas hob I can install it for you. When installing the appliance I will bring it up to the latest safety standards as set out by Gas Safe. I will secure it with a stability chain, renew any flexible hose and make sure it is secure and level. After the relevant performance and safety checks I will give you a demonstration how to use your new product.
As with any product with moving parts, you may occasionally find it is not working as it used to or maybe is not working at all. This could be down to poor maintenance, loose connections or just high usage causing wear and tear on some parts. Fires and boilers have very small pipes and injectors which can easily become blocked which can cause intermittent faults.
