Felt I had to leave a review here after a frankly flawless experience with Dorking Fires and Stoves, completely at odds with the previous negative reviews. I had my open fireplace widened and converted to a log-burner with a hearth. They have a well-stocked showroom with many stoves and catalogues to look at, are highly knowledgeable, and are a nice family-run business who delivered a highly professional service throughout.
Bob arrived at three visits to my house (quotation, widening, and installation) and one meeting at the shop, on time, without issue. He advised me on what was possible with

Don’t waste your time, dreadful service.
I went to the property for an arranged appointment for their fitter to measure up for two fireplaces. Waited an hour before calling mobile to see where they were. Bob called me back saying he wasn’t going to make it due to sick dog. When I said I wished he had let me know earlier he shouted about having bigger things to worry about and hung up. Great way to run a business.
