Services
Many of the windows we are asked to replace are over 100 years old and they are beginning to show it! Combining traditional construction methods with the latest manufacturing techniques, we offer a complete replacement window service, including home installation. We can make windows to your exact requirements, including matching existing mouldings or creating brand new architect designs.
B. Murphy offers a bespoke door and door frame service; whether it is matching an existing door or working to architects drawings. We create beautiful and secure hard wood or soft wood doors which can include triple glazing, security locks and hinges and a full fitting service, as required. Options include: Georgian hardwood and softwood doors, replacement door frames, internal panel doors, external doors, French windows and garage doors.
Other examples of our work include porches, conservatories, hardwood gates and garage doors as well as the gable timber work you will see on the right. We were also involved in the redevelopment of a commercial street in Ealing, making many of the traditional timber shop fronts. Using the traditional mortice and tenon method which can be routed to any profile we have an established reputation for curved joinery.

Accoya is soft wood that has been treated with acetic acid. This transforms the wood cells so they can absorb almost no water, dramatically increasing the woods durability, mould and insect resistance and stability.

B Murphy's replaced my front door. I can't recommend them highly enough. Excellent communication throughout and a competitive price. The job ended up being more complicated than hoped due to a history of subsidence in my home but B Murphy responded by going the extra mile to ensure the work was done to a very high standard.

I asked B Murphy & Co to replace my old rotten wooden windows with new timber double glazed windows in compliance with Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust regulations. HGST agreed with their plans and then Myles and Michael measured and hand made the windows. Their team fitted the windows in record time working round the clock before government lockdown restrictions came into force.

We’ve been repeat customers with B Murphy over about eight years and on two properties having used it for repairs and replacement sash windows and rear garden doors, for which it managed to preserve the original stained glass beautifully sandwiching it into new sections.
The workmanship is first rate and the installers are direct employees and always clean up after themselves, leaving none if any evidence they were there. I can’t recommend this firm highly enough.
Myles and Michael are extremely personable, reliable and with their team you are in excellent hands.

Myles, Michael and their team have made us 2 fantastic mirrored frames for our house. Both were made to measure and they fitted them for us too, advising on the right position for the room. Both frames are really beautiful and just what we wanted at a very reasonable price. They've all been so helpful and friendly and we would definitely recommend them.
