At KAT Locksmiths we offer a while-you-wait key cutting Essex service with a vast range of key blanks available in-store to fit an extensive variety of purposes and security requirements. These type of keys frequently have a number stamped on the face of the lock. If you know the number of the lock you can obtain new keys by bringing the number into our shop.
We share our premises with another company RES-Info Tech and Ray organised the locks for the premises. I needed another set of keys. Well there's only one key, which opens both of the deadlocks on the main entrance. Normally this involves a trip into town and standing around while the bloke actually cuts the keys on his machine.

Had an failure of the igntion lock of my Ford Van, this was an emergency as it meant I could no longer work. I phoned a local locksmith who said the van was too new to fix and would have to be main dealer job, it was a Sunday and this would have taken days as the van would have to be towed etc. Phoned Jay at KAT locksmiths who immediately said yes I will come on a Sunday and have the rights parts with me. He arrived and while on site replaced the ignition lock and got me up and running within hours. Im so thankful

What a great team! My telephone inquiry was promptly answered and my problem quickly identified. I was given a number of options as to the way forward. The team could not have been more understanding and helpful. I chose to have a home visit. An appointment was promptly made for the next day, the technician telephoned on the morning of the visit to give me an estimated time of arrival. A full inspection of the locking mechanism was made, the problem was quickly identified, the lock was given a thorough test of function and a clear demonstration of use given. I could not be be happier, , good value

Popped in to KAT at the Hadleigh store with an enquiry regarding a broken lock on my conservatory door.
Was dealt with quickly and politely with the store attendant showing good knowledge from a few pictures.
Left happily with an appointment booked for the following day.
The Technician who turned up was punctual and truly amazing and actually went beyond in order to repair the lock, change a barrel and even adjust my door. Again very professional, polite and friendly and he knew exactly what he was doing.
Door works lovely, new lock installed, cleaned everything up after as if he was never

Rapid professional service and polite staff. I only required some of the door mechanism adjusting, I could have been asked to pay for new parts but the engineer was to the point and honest about what needed doing. I would use the service again and would recommend to friends and family.

The man in here was amazing he was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, he took the time twice to talk to me And give me some excellent advice and help. He wasn't at all sales driven and nothing was to much trouble for him no matter what you asked.
Because of his exceptional service and the poor service I had experienced in 4 other places local to him I will be sending all my work to him and recommending him to everyone.
