The Chimney Keepers

From his base in Dorchester, Rob sweeps chimneys in all sorts of properties across Dorset, Devon & South Somerset. Not only is Rob registered with HETAS for sweeping, he also operates under the strict guidelines of The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. The Guild is the UK body for ensuring rigorous standards for both chimney sweeps and their customers.

The strict guidelines set by The Guild & HETAS mean that Rob is required to adhere to tough safety standards. His equipment, knowledge and expertise allow him to fully assess the safety of your chimney and determine whether it is safe to use (or not!). Once your chimney has been fully inspected & swept, a smoke test is required.

Providing your chimney passes, you will be issued with a safety certificate which you can then use (if needed) for insurance purposes. Both HETAS & The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps recommend annual sweeping and inspection. 6 monthly inspections are also recommended for wood burners which are deemed as in heavy use.
