Whether the problem is a leaking tap or a burst pipe, let Compton & Parkinson be your first call. We undertake all types of plumbing works no matter how big or how small. Our Friendly plumbers are experienced and professional and will work efficiently to resolve your plumbing problem. As well as carrying out repairs we also can install your new sanitary ware such as a bath, W.C. or shower.
We are also qualified to work on and install all types of vented and un-vented hot water and heating systems including warm air units, combination boilers and condensing boilers. We install various boilers but we have preferred makes that we can advise and answer your questions on. Powerflushing is the most effective way to flush out heating systems and remove any build up and sludge in the system.
Please note: We work on an hourly rate. The total charge to you will be the time spent by our team to do the work. It will include our travelling to the job and all reasonable time spent in obtaining materials. Parts and materials supplied by us are charged at the trade price plus a handling charge.
We endeavour to provide the best possible service using the skills and knowledge that we have acquired during many years of working in the plumbing business. Unless otherwise stated, jobs will be invoiced and are payable immediately on presentation either by cheque made payable to Compton & Parkinson or by cash.

Poor pressure to washing machine. Was promised an engineer with a call 30 minutes beforehand. Waited in all afternoon and then called them- no answer. Left voicemail. Then suddenly an engineer turns up without calling beforehand.
Straight away was really grumpy.He took a look at the tap that fed the washing machine and said he'd need to get another one - left for an hour and returned. Again very grumpy.
Looked at tap again. Then needed to ask for torch as his torch has run out of battery - and then looked at pipe that fed tap and realised it was gravity fed from tank in loft.
Said it was low

I had the boiler kept on losing water pressure in Feb , so called Compton & parkinson to have a look, the engineer came the first time to identify what had gone wrong, I have been told 2 parts on the boiler faulty and need to be changed, the engineer came around second time to change the 2 parts and issued me a bill for £331 including the time and call out labour and material, the week later I had the same problem happening again, it made me totally lost the confidence with this company, I had to get another engineer from different company to sort out this problem, he found out there was a small

I came back from a weekend to find I had no heating or hot water. I phoned Compton & Parkinson the morning after and described the problem. They sent someone out the same afternoon (15 minutes after the start of the window when they said they'd arrive) and fixed the problem with the boiler within an hour. I was mega impressed as I figured, with it being winter, it would take a couple of days for someone to be available.

Have used on three different occasions for minor plumbing issues. In all cases the plumber attending was able to solve the problem. I have found all members of staff to be professional and knowledgeable. One problem involved the plumber asking advice from his colleagues and sourcing a part from abroad for our toilet, they office dealt with this quickly and at minimal expense to us. Definitely recommend.

I've just had a replacement Mira electric shower fitted by Compton & Parkinson and the service was excellent. The friendly, helpful and efficient office staff worked with me to find the best price and date for the work (and rang me back when they said they would). The plumber was also friendly and efficient. He observed the Covid protocols, fitted the new shower without leaving any exposed holes from the previous shower. He protected surfaces with coverings as necessary and consulted with me where there were options (eg placing the shower head rail, fitting soap dish). The shower was tested and

The engineer that came out to see us was a very intelligent and the professional individual. I highly recommend this company as they are honest and get the job done.
We got quoted 150 pounds for a thermostat wiring however Compton and Parkinson did it in a fraction of the price and once again highly recommend.
