Initially it was an easy decision. Small family business, quick with quotes, which seemed better than others considered and picked the design option that worked for me. It was deemed that a 5kw stove would be sufficient.
The quote included completing corner beading, which was not done at the time, and lead to an intense discussion to achieve a resolution. The finished beading, I forgot to mention was done as a patch, but very well done.
There was a such lot of mess, but so very little clean up. I covered my important and costly items, shut doors and kept pets out where possible

Very pleased with our new fire and surround. Initially we were looking to have a new hearth and surround for our existing open fire but found there were some issues with the chimney. Tom was very helpful with answering questions about the possibility of installing an electric fire instead. We chose the surround and electric fire in the finish we liked. We are extremely pleased with the realistic effect from the new electric fire. Unfortunately, like many other things currently, the particular surround we wanted was out of stock but Tom found out what was available and offered alternatives which

I got a few quotes from different companies and The Fireplace Fitters Shop were very competitive and also local, so they were my top choice in the end. The whole experience of having our open fire removed (complete with back boiler) and our new stove installed was so easy. Tom, Violet and the team are really friendly and always replied promptly to any queries. The work was done on time with the guys doing a great job of clearing up afterwards. I have no hesitation in recommending them. We are delighted with our stove and new look chimney breast.

I would like to congratulate the fitting team - Jason and Kelston - arrived, explained what the process would be, gave a daily update, used dust sheets and hoovered up after themselves. Polite, courteous and professional, a credit to themselves and their company. I would definitely recommend the Fire Place Fitters Shop and this team. They were recommended by 2 people on our street who had used them and of 3 quotes, they were the ones that were most professional and prompt.
Tom surveyed our requirements and talked it through and then gave us some options to choose from.
The fitters provided a tidy and efficient installation as well as being very polite and trustworthy.
