Based near Bath in the Somerset countryside, our busy workshops are home to a team of skilled stonemasons. We use traditional methods to carve natural stone fireplaces and stonework by hand. Wholeheartedly recommend Pinkney Green Fireplaces. I've lived in three different houses in Bath and Biff has installed a fireplace at every one. A stone surround open fire in the first, a built-in woodburner in the second and a free-standing woodburner in the third. In every instance, he has provided a thorough, quick and professional service and delivered an outstanding end result which has always exactly reflected the look and feel I wanted to achieve. Hopefully I won't be moving again any time soon, but if I was, I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

AVOID AVOID AVOID
Employed Biff to install a new woodburner which was a replacement for an existing stove. He asked for 50% of the total cost upfront which I found a little strange and didn't agree to as it was over £500 and that was way over the cost of the materials he would have to purchase before starting the job. After the new woodburner was fitted there was a really bad smell coming from the area it was fitted but I was told this was just the stove paint being burned off and after it had been lit a few times the smell would go. This was a year ago and the smell is still there. I struggled

From the first visit, Bif understood exactly what we wanted to achieve - he supplied and installed a great stove and a fabulous portland stone fire surround at a very competitive price which included building a new (fake) chimney breast. We have wanted this fire for 4 years, and it is fair to say - our room has been transformed. I would have no hesitation in recommending PGF to anyone considering a fireplace or stove.
